The Wellington Tour -a journey through
time, nature & culture
Drive through the historic precinct of Thorndon, which houses Wellington’s civic and historic buildings. Visit Old St Paul's Cathedral, built from native timbers in 1866; then step onto the grounds of Parliament, to see the Beehive and hear a brief history of New Zealand's political system.
From the Cable Car Lookout, take in the beauty of the Wellington harbour, and then visit the Award Winning Cable Car Museum.
Drive past Victoria University, down into the CBD. Driving along the waterfront and past Te Papa Museum and onto the Basin Reserve -one of the oldest cricket grounds in the world and now the largest roundabout in the southern hemisphere!
- Driving out of the Mt Victoria Tunnel, we travel around to the Miramar Peninsula, home to some of Wellington's most talented artists and the film empire of Peter Jackson.
- Stop for refreshments at Coco Cafe in the famous Roxy Cinema.
Visit Weta Cave, for a taste of the creativity that goes on behind the walls of Weta Workshop.
Drive around the beautiful Seatoun Bays and onto Seatoun foreshore to see where Kupe, the great Maori explorer first landed in Wellington.
Hear about Oruaiti Reserve, winner of an International Green Flag Award for preserving native plants, and a breeding ground for little blue penguins.
Meet a local Wellington artist in residence, and observe their work.
We end the tour by driving round the Bays with great views of the harbour and city, and back to your destination.
Tour runs in any weather, with wet weather umbrellas supplied.

The Martinborough Wine Tour
Discover the rural sophistication of Martinborough’s charming, world-class wine village on this guided luxury tour. After picking you up from your cruise ship or hotel, we will travel in our air conditioned Mercedes Viano, up through the Hutt Valley and over the Rimutaka Hill, taking in the scenery and coming down into Martinborough in time for refreshments at the Martinborough Cafe before some wine tasting.
With a choice of over 20 wineries in the village and surrounds, there are plenty to choose from! The tour includes visits to boutique Martinborough vineyards where you will learn more about the families involved in the production of the wine and why Martinborough wines are internationally renowned. Included in the tour price is lunch at one of the Award Winning Vineyard Restaurants.
We will finish our day with tea or coffee at the Village Cafe, and if time allows an opportunity to browse the beautiful boutique shops of Martinborough village before we head back to Wellington at approx 3.00 pm.
